A late late update

Sorry for the utter laziness all – heres the belated update – you can thank Aunty Caroline who demanded photos here.

On the 27th of February, at 11:26pm We had a daughter -Sadie Elizabeth Blundell, (im sure the word spread fairly quick via the old man and Aunty Anne in any case) she was 8 pound 5 oz, and came into the world with a full head of wavey brown hair.

So other than the biggest chunk in our lives right now being awesome – all other aspects of life are pretty sweet right now too, we’ve decided to stop paying other peoples mortgages and are now looking for our first home somewhere between Levin and Wellington, New Job with Telecom is going really good etc etc…

A hoy hoy

Howdy all, just writing in to tell everyone I recently found out I am going to be a father.

Has taken a bit to sink in, but we’re happy, a bit of growing up to do in the next few months though, I think.

-Tamati, Tom, Oi you… whatever you know me as :)

Whangarei Blundells

Hello,

Was mucking round on the internet and found the ‘Blundell’ site!  What a huge suprise.

My father Arthur Percy Blundell is the 2nd eldest son of 13 children to Wallace and Hilda Blundell from Horeke.   We too have the Blundell Crest hanging on the wall.

My Mum (Yvonne) and Dad (Percy) live in Whangarei and have three children Leo, Cherie and (me) Kylee.

I will be emailing this site to my Aunties, Uncles and Cousins to have a browse who may be able to give a better run down on the Blundell’s from Horeke.

I’ve posted a photo of my family too!  Spot the Blundell!!

See ya – Kylee Williams (nee Blundell)

quick post

Hi all josh here how is everyone. Was feeling a bit left out after reading everyone else’s posts so thought that I would post my own. Noah just had his 1st birthday on the most important date in the blundell calendar (29th july). He really enjoyed the party and all the play friends. Other than that this little part of our whanau has not been up to anything exciting. Man the little ones grow up so fast it’s unbelivable. See you all later and next time i’ll post a pic from Noah’s big b’day.

well bloody hell you have to fast round here to beat you great uncle dave!lol.

yes we had little jack on thursday 26 july after fast and easy labour (dont know all laraas moaning was about really) at 705am weighing in at 5pound8 (2480g). he was 2 weeks early and so very little but go the small head! his head was only 32.5cm but he is 48cm long so i think he has inherited the green genes lucky bugger.  we are doing great and bruce has proved he is not the hard man he likes to think he is.

HI JACK

Words you never want to hear when you are on a plane, but none the less, congrats you two.
I’m sure nanny Katie or Great Auntie Anne will post the pics if they manage to beat Lara or Sheena

Hello from your cousin!

Hi there. I’m your cousin Sheridan Fairfield-Wills Dickson. We share my Great-Great-Grandfather – Richard Blundell.

I’m descended from Richard and his first wife Catherine Cooke. My Great-Grandfather was his son Percy, and my Grandmother was Marion Blundell.  Boy are there a lot of kids in the Blundell family. Percy had 13, and one of his kids – my Great-Uncle Wallace – had another 13.  Some of the Blundells still live up Hokianga way. I’m in Wellington, but most of the family are up north.

I just got Family Tree Maker and  have only just installed it tonight and already found your site! As soon as I saw the coat of arms I knew we were related. I was at the huge Blundell reunion years ago – was it 15 years ago or so? Around about 500 people were there and I think that’s what the coat of arms were made for? Anyway, maybe your family was there also.

When I get more done on the family tree I’ll post it. I’ll try to get some photos as well. We’re a pretty good looking bunch ;-)

Arlins BirthdayArlin at Womad

Well I am a little bit disappointed that I came onto the site and there is no updated photo of Liarne in the late stages of her pregnancy as I know that she has a fabulous photo that she could share with all.  I have organised a wee visit to Auckland with Dad at the end of July (for Noah’s first birthday) so anyone that wants to cook for 2 adults and 4 children (Arlin and Dad’s tribe) please come forward with offers (Liarne?).  Photos of Arlin at Womad in March and his recent second birthday.

Hi to all.

Family Crest

Hello,
After reading Uncle David’s posts I looked online and found another translation from

http://www.houseofnames.com/coatofarms_details.asp?sId=&s=Blundell

It states: Motto Translated = I will be borne along one and the same
